Tatting

I’ve recently started learning to tat. I call it ‘self-taught’ since I’m using YouTube videos and online resources. Some would argue that point, but I’m still going with self-taught.  I’ve always wanted to do learn this. My mother had a tatting shuttle in sewing kit as long as I can remember, but don’t remember ever seeing her using it.

My friend Anna, who is a crafter but doesn’t tat, either, found a large bag of tatting supplies at Goodwill at a price too good to pass up.  She shared some of her goodies with me so I could play. Being me, I immediately became obsessed. I started googling and searching YouTube and Pinterest till I found enough information to get started.

My finished first completed tatting project! Yes, I have a long way to go. But completing it is a big accomplishment

Below are some of videos and links that I found helpful.
